Integrity,
Leadership and Experience
It’s been four eventful and fulfilling years since my election to the Beverly
Hills City Council. I hope that I have earned your trust and support for my
re-election on March 8, 2005.
My first duty always will be to ensure that our City’s finances stay sound.
We have accomplished a lot during my first term. We made key infrastructure
projects a top priority. We put in place a new urban design program for the
business triangle. We completed the water treatment plant - on time and on
budget. We installed new traffic signals and streetlights and upgraded the sewer
system.
I have delivered on my campaign promise to provide life saving heart
defibrillators (AEDs) in police patrol cars, in City Hall buildings and
municipal parking lots. I have worked closely with my City Council colleagues as
we continued financial support of our Schools and provided extra City funds to
upgrade playgrounds and fields. We hired a first-rate City Manager and protected
funding for the City’s Library and Senior programs.
There is much more to do: continued vigilance on our finances; building a
community sports and recreation center; creating new housing choices for young
professionals, our Seniors and families; solving the tough problems created by
pass-through traffic; promoting responsible growth in our business community.
To accomplish all this I need your help and continued support. I am asking
for your VOTE of confidence to continue to represent you on our City Council.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve for the next four years.
Sincerely,
